Title: QR room service and ordering for hotels | Orderli
Description: Hotel guests order room service and lobby drinks from a QR code in the room or the lobby. You set the menu, hours and payment moment per spot.

# Room service without the phone queue, in your hotel’s style.

Guests scan in their room, in the lobby or on the terrace and see straight away what they can order there, right then.

## In use at venues including

- Van der Valk
- HEMA
- Fletcher Hotels
- De Bartel Groep
- Bierfabriek
- Grote Markt Den Haag
- Van Asch
- Foodhallen
- Schiphol

## Room service works the same, it just gets brought up.

The hall at Foodhallen in Rotterdam.

We handle that; the hotel only serves breakfast. Every room has a QR code for ordering. It actually works the same way, except the order is brought to you. **Chong Chu · Room service for the hotel above Foodhallen Rotterdam** Entree Magazine English translation of the Dutch original[Read the Dutch article at Entree](https://www.entreemagazine.nl/ondernemen/foodhallen-stuurt-op-bestelgedrag-met-flexibel-qr-bestelsysteem)

## Every order lands in the right place.

One QR system for the rooms, the restaurant, the lobby bar and the terrace. Room service lands in the kitchen and, with supported hotel systems, can go on the room bill; a cappuccino in the lobby goes to the bar.

The QR code on the nightstand opens the room service menu. The order reaches the kitchen with the room number on it, and with supported hotel systems the guest can charge it to the room.

## From the QR code in the room to the right kitchen

Where the guest scans decides which menu they see and where the order arrives.

1. The right menu opens The room-service menu in the room, the bar menu in the lobby.
2. Ordering in their own language A German or British guest reads the same menu in their own language.
3. Room and payment add up The room number stays with the order. You choose whether guests pay now or later, the way you handle it today.

## Room 406 wants a late meal. The lobby orders coffee. The terrace is just opening.

Each guest sees the menu for the place they are in. The room number travels with the order, so nobody has to call to ask what was ordered or where it should go.

### One hotel, many different moments

- Every place has its own menu Room service, lobby bar and terrace serve different dishes at different hours.
- The room number comes along The order knows where it is going, even when the guest forgets to mention the room.
- It stays your hotel The menu carries your logo, your colours and your tone, not a software brand’s.

## Every outlet in the hotel with its own menu and hours.

Set up room service, the restaurant, the lobby bar and the terrace separately. With every order the team sees which room or table it came from.

### The team sees which room ordered what.

Room number, dishes and status sit together, so room service knows what is ready and which door it goes to.

### Every guest reads the menu in their own language.

With one button the guest reads the menu in German, French, Spanish or Japanese. Orderli translates your menu, you check it before it goes live.

### Pay now or later, the way you work.

A late snack in the room or coffee in the lobby: you choose per place whether guests pay straight away.

## What hotels often ask us

Where does an order from room 406 arrive?

Wherever you need it: in the kitchen for room service, at the bar for lobby drinks. For each place we set which menu and opening hours apply.

Can we use separate menus for breakfast and late night?

Yes. You set when each menu is visible, so late in the evening guests automatically see the night menu.

How do guests know they can order?

With a QR code in the room, by the lift or on the lobby tables, designed in your hotel’s style.

Do guests need to download an app?

No. Guests order and pay in their phone’s browser: through the QR code at the table or the link to your own ordering site for takeaway and delivery. At a kiosk they order and pay on the kiosk itself.

Do guests have to pay straight away?

You decide. Guests pay with their order, or put it on the bill and settle later. At a kiosk they pay at the kiosk straight away.

Can the menu be in more than one language?

Yes. Pick your languages and AI translates dishes, descriptions, options and categories. You first see what changes per dish and review before anything goes live. The ticket and the POS simply show your own names.
